Studying the Civil War

I spent last weekend scouring auction boxes ( one of my favorite things to do) and came across some fabulous Living History books. One of my favorites is "Great Photographers of the Civil War" By: Eva Weber. This book will delight all of your Civil War buffs.

From Edward Curtis' haunting portraits to Ansel Adams' soaring vistas, this informative and visually compelling overview of America's most famous photographers traces the history and evolution of the black and white image and how it shaped our national view. "Great Photographers of The Civil War is both a unique chronicle of a horrific conflict and a vivid, moving testament to the courage and artistic vision of a remarkable group of men.
